Our core hours are 8:30am to 3pm (see below for year round, extended hours before and after school hours and holiday care).

- Our core morning session runs from 9:00am - 12 noon
- Lunch Club runs from 12 noon - 1:00pm
- Core afternoon session runs from 1:00pm - 3:00pm
From September 2024 our fees are £5.20 per hour for three and four year olds and £6.20 per hour for two year olds, plus a daily £1.25 charge for snack and materials. Where a 2-year-old child turns 3 during a term, the reduced rate will ‘kick in’ from the start of the next term, i.e. the first full term in which they are 3+.
Bills are sent out half-termly for all fees due.
Free entitlement funding is available to all children in the term after their third birthday and in some circumstances to eligible two year olds etc, please contact Yvonne, our Playgroup Supervisor for more information or read the latest government update on grants.
We also accept all brands of childcare vouchers, such as Accor and Busy Bees. Please check with your employer to see if they offer such a scheme. These are an extremely tax efficient route to paying for childcare.

Box Pre-School Playgroup has charity status (No. 1035359), is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and is registered with Ofsted (No. 199410).
In addition, we have a strong working relationship with Box Kids Club, who operate upstairs and operate breakfast, after-school, and holiday care for children aged 3-11 years. Children who have been booked into both settings can transition to the after-school club directly from pre-school.
Box Kids offer breakfast club from 7:30am and childcare at the end of the day from 3-6pm. Holiday club runs throughout most of the school holidays.
